The Addict Technologies linear output tilt sensor produces a DC voltage that varies in relation with the measured angle. When the board angle changes, the output voltage varies accordingly to provide a voltage reading of the angle. This sensor is ideal in industrial applications where a real time measurement of the angle is necessary  like boom angle measurement, hydraulic lift systems, etc...


Standard specifications

  • Operates from 10V to 30V DC.
  • Output voltage varies form 1.1V to 3.6V
  • Linear from 0° to 80°
  • Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C

The following picture shows a representation of the output voltage in function of the measured angle. We can see that in this implementation the voltage varies linearly from 0° to 90°.

The linear output tilt sensor as been built to be flexible, so it can be easily adjusted to fit your needs. You only need to specify the desired voltage output in function of desired angles for the board to be calibrated accordingly.
