USB Dual-Axis Tilt and Acceleration Sensor

With today’s applications, one might need to measure the tilt movement of an electronics arm while another might need to measure the acceleration of a moving part over a short distance. These systems are very often connected to industrial computers. This is why we developed a USB version of our popular dual axis tilt sensor.

The USB dual axis tilt and acceleration sensor connect directly to a standard PC USB 2.0 port without the need for any other connection. The unit draws it power directly from the USB port.

When connected, the unit appears as a new serial port in Windows and can be easily accessed using our simple communication protocol. Measurements can be sent every 0.01sec for your PC application to detect any change in the sensor’s physical angle.

To help with developing your end application, we provided a sample application with source code in C++ free of charge when you buy a sensor.

Taking tilt or acceleration measurement has never been so easy.

Basic characteristics:

  • Dual axis, roll and pitch
  • ±2G acceleration reading on both axes
  • Easy to convert acceleration into angle reading
  • Powered from USB 2.0
