USC-205 Isolated USB to SPI Converter
alesco *NEW* USB to SPI Converter USC-216 *NEW*

- No USB code to write. Plug and play!

- Configurable SPI Port. Can be used as either Slave or Master

- Configurable Baud Rate

- Option to choose state of 'chip select' (High, Low, Auto)

- Can be used as an SPI Sniffer

The Isolated USB to SPI converter is an adapter used to electrically isolate a USB link between a PC and a device without reducing drastically the data rate of the link. The USC-205 can connect any device with a SPI to a USB host and can be used in any application that needs a USB connection such as data acquisition, instrumentation and communication.

Based on the MAX3420E, the USC-205 is USB 2.0 compliant and can achieve communication speed of up to 5Mbps. The USC2-05 offers a 2.5kV isolation between target device and USB host.

The target application needs to configure the USC-205 through the SPI port and answer to the USB enumeration process. Sample USB bulk communication code written in C for the unit side and a sample driver for Windows are available to help the customer with their design and come free of charge with the purchase of a USC-205.
